Beach Management Plan

 

 

The Beach Management Plan, also known as the Patrol Operations Manual (POM), is a document that is annually updated and is basically 'The Bible' for patrolling at Boat Harbour Beach. All information is tailored to operating at our beach;

This document includes state communication, hazard and risk management, beach management, and our emergency operations plan.

​

I highly encourage all patrol members (especially patrol captains) to read through it. A hard copy is available in the patrol room at the club house.

A complimentary document is the SLST Standard Operating Procedures which outlines the generic performance that should be followed when it comes to Lifesaving Services. The majority of questions that could come up on patrol shuold be answered in the SOPs.
